Ashley County is one of 75 counties in Arkansas. Hamburg is the county seat.

Ashley County is the fifth largest county in the state by size. It was established on November 30, 1848, from part of Drew County with final boundary adjustments made in 1861.

Bayou Bartholomew, the longest bayou in the United States, runs through the county. Overflow National Wildlife Refuge sits to the west of the Bayou.
