Athens Area Schools is a school district in Calhoun County, Michigan. According to a report from the Michigan Department of Education, it served 774 students for the 2006-07 school year and was the 451st largest public school district in Michigan.[1] The Mackinac Center for Public Policy has contacted Athens to post its checkbook register but so far it does not appear to be online.
