Benton County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of 2000, the population was 34,226. Its county seat is Foley. Established in 1849, the county is one of the earliest in Minnesota[1].

The good

  • Forms are available for permits and zoning.[2] Though there is no information posted allowing individuals to check the status of a permit.
  • Lists information on property taxes.[3]

The bad

  • The budget is list, though has not been updated since 2006.[4] There is also no posting of county credit card receipts or the county checkbook register.
