Bernalillo County is the most populated county in the U.S. state of New Mexico. It is located within the Albuquerque, New Mexico Metropolitan Statistical Area and had a population of 556,678 at the 2000 census; in 2006, the population was estimated at 615,099. The county seat is Albuquerque.
