Transparency at Blue Valley
The Kansas Department of Education has provided a "Budget at a Glance" for each school ditrict in Kansas. Blue Valley's 2007-2008 Budget gives a summary of expidentures, average salaries, and sources of revenue.
The website for Blue Valley School District does provide profiles and a means for contacting each member of the school board. It also provides the time, date and location for board meetings in addition to instructions on how to address the board during an open forum. The meeting minutes and agendas are linked as PDF files on the appropriate page.
Other Kansas school districts have varying degrees of transparency on their own websites, but the Kansas Deparment of Education has at least provided basic data on each one.
