Burnett County is one of 72 counties in Wisconsin. The county was formed in 1856 and was named after state legislator Thomas P Burnett. Burnett County is located in northwestern Wisconsin, covers 821.5 square miles and contains 509 lakes. The county seat is Meenon. [1]
