The Center for Government Reform (CGR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research and education organization in Michigan that is "dedicated to researching and promoting best practices to improve government at all levels."[1]
Their initial focus is on K-12 education reform, but in the future will also work towards increasing governmental transparency and accountability.
[edit] MI school transparency
CGR's first project is MI School Transparency, a website which evaluates each school district in the state on 11 transparency principles. Grades are based upon what information is available on each district's website.[2]
