Marcia Lyles is the Superintendent.

The Board of Education is composed of seven unsalaried members elected to five-year terms. Each member represents an electoral area in the District, but all are elected at-large. Elections take place in May, with members taking office in July. The Board chooses the President and Vice-President, and the Superintendent serves as Executive Secretary. ^[7]
