David Braaten

David Braaten is an appointed member of the KEEP Commission. The KEEP commission was established in May 2008 by an executive order of governor Kathleen Sebelius. The stated purpose of the commission is to develop "recommendations to the Governor to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Kansas."
Braaten is a geography professor at Kansas University. He serves as deputy director of the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets, a Science and Technology Center established by the National Science Foundation to develop technologies and computer models that measure and predict sea-level changes in response to mass balance of ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica.
