Delaware Senate Bill 188 (2008)

Senate Bill 188 was introduced by Sen. Charles Copeland (R-West Farms) in December 2007. The bill requires the Delaware Economic Development Office to list information on all distributions from the Delaware Strategic Fund on their website. It is part of the Delaware Taxpayer Coalition's 2008 Fiscal Transparency Package.

The listings on the website are to include:
- The name of the person or entity receiving funds
- The amount of the distribution
- The type of distribution (loan, grant, etc)
Additionally, each distribution is to have a link to all documents used to justify the distribution. These documents are to include the loan/grant application (minus Social Security numbers and other ID theft information), or the provision of the budget or bond bill authorizing the distribution.
Each distribution must be posted within five business days and remain online for a minimum of five years. The initial posting will include all distributions from fiscal year 2004 to fiscal year 2008.
