Dr. Brian T. Binggeli is the superintendent of Brevard Public Schools, Florida. He became superintendent on July 1, 2009.
Now that he is in office, he is responsible for more than 73,000 students, about 9,000 school board employees, and 86 schools, 8 charter schools and 17 special centers in Brevard County's 1,300 square miles. [1]

Binggeli earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Studies Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He then received a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia in 1989. He earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
He has had experience in education for over 20 years, including teaching and administrative work. He was an adjunct professor at Virginia Tech and an adjunct instructor at the University of Virginia.
He worked as a consultant and organizer for many projects. He is also a member of the following: American Association of School Administrators, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the Virignia Association of Secondary School Principals, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.[2]
