[edit] Dunbar council candidate finds FOIA fee unfair
"One of the candidates running for Dunbar City Council thinks he's being singled out by city officials' new Freedom of Information Act research fee.
Dunbar city officials will now charge $10 an hour to look up public information for anyone who files a request under the state Freedom of Information Act. Interim Mayor Jack Yeager has said the fee was introduced because City Hall was being flooded with FOIA requests, tying up workers in the city clerk's office.
Jim Brown, a candidate for Dunbar City Council in Ward 1, thinks the "flood" of requests refers to him. Brown said he has filed four requests for records under the Freedom of Information Act."
