Eustace resident Elicia Sanders runs a watchdog style website tracking city affairs. Sanders uses the Texas Public Information Act to examine city documents, and has used that information to point out that the city does not always comply with the Open Meetings law, and that the city is in close to $1 million in debt. City council member Lisa Roberts has expressed displeasure with Sanders' website saying that Eustace is a small, friendly city and that “If you are truly from here you would know that” , and that Sanders ought not be so critical. ^[1]
