[edit] Website evaluation

[edit] The good

  • Budget is published.[1]
  • Audit reports are published.[2]
  • State tax information is available.[3]
  • State officials are listed with contact information under respective office/department.[4]
  • Information on the state ethics commission is available.[5]
  • Includes searchable database of lobbyists and publications.[6]

[edit] The bad

  • State contracts do not appear to be online.
  • Site has search function but it includes many city and county websites, which makes it difficult to find state information. Site is also difficult to navigate.
  • Does not provide information on state-paid lobbying and agency lobbying contracts.
  • FOIA contacts for each department are listed[7], no forms are provided.
