FBI investigates if Rezko paid for Blagojevich's rehab

The FBI is investigating Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich in relation to the current Tony Rezko trial. The FBI believes Rezko may have paid for all or part of a $90,000 rehab of Gov. Blagojevich's Northwest Side bungalow. Agents also have inquired about the governor's wife's real estate dealings with Rezko. It has been considered Rezko might have disguised payments for the work through sham billings at a large housing development he was building.

Currently, the governor and his wife maintain that they paid for the entire project, though have refused to provide bills, canceled checks, a list of subcontractors or other documentation.[1]
