[edit] School board

[2]

It operates, controls and supervises the district's public schools as well as determines the rate of school district taxes, with the option of two or more school districts operating and financing educational programs together.

Florida A&M's Board of Trustees consists of 13 members: six are appointed by the governor and five are appointed by the Board of Governor. The Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of Florida A&M. Trustees serve terms of 5 years with the exception of positions elected by local body, they serve a term of one year.[3]
