The Texas Free Flow of Information Act was a reporter's shield law passed by the Texas Legislature in early 2009.

The effort to pass the bill into law was spearheaded by the Freedom of Information Foundation Texas.

The bill was sponsored in the House by state Rep. Trey Martinez-Fischer, a San Antonio Democrat, and in the Senate by Sens. Rodney Ellis, a Houston Democrat, and Robert Duncan, a Lubbock Republican. [1]
