The Department of Audits and Accounts has been given a deadline of January 1, 2009, to have the website up and running. The bill designates that it must be a single, searchable website accessible to the public at no cost. It must include the following information:
- The State of Georgia Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
- Annual Budgetary Compliance Report - This must include budgeted and actual revenues, along with complete expenditures and revenue from the previous fiscal year
- Annual State of Georgia Single Audit Report - Includes an indexed listing of all expenditures of federal funds, along with disclosure by all state government organizations of audit findings and any corrective action taken.
- Salaries - includes all salaries and expenses of full-time and part-time employees, and board members.
- Full list of consultant expenses and any other professional services expenses
- State budget in brief, indexed by reporting agency
- Audits - all performance audits conducted for the previous five years, with updates as soon as possible after the close of each fiscal year
[edit] Phase Two
After the initial website is in place, the Department of Audits and Accounts will have until January 1, 2010 to add reports of certain grant and contract payments pertaining to fiscal year 2009. This information must include:
- A list of all contracts which call for an agency to expend over $50,000
