[edit] Public Records

In December 2008, the city council approved the formation of a FOI advisory board. The idea was introduced by Councilman Matt Ritter, who "said its purpose is to educate city employees and residents on the Freedom of Information Act, and to serve as a liaison with state FOI officials". The board will consist of three members. [10] After the city council reached it's decision, a technical objection from city attorneys was raised which delayed the board's formation. On February 9, 2009 the council voted again and passed the question 8-0. [11]
