Hawaii Senate Bill 659 (2009) was proposed in February of 2009 by the Senate Ways and Means Committee which would create a publicly-accessible, online database for all state grants and awards over $25,000.[1] A similar bill was enacted in the past by the current Governor but never signed.

The Legislature shows the current status of the bill as "deferred."[2]
