A tilde is a character on your computer keyboard. It looks like this: ~

Tildes are important on Sunshine Review because they allow you to "sign" notes you leave on article and user talk pages.

In order to sign a note, type four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

Sunshine Review automatically converts those four tildes into your user name, followed by the date and time of your note. Leslie 09:37, 18 March 2008 (CDT)
