Houghton-Portage Township Schools is a school district in Houghton County, Michigan. According to a report from the Michigan Department of Education, it served 1,241 students for the 2007-08 school year and was the 346th largest public school district in Michigan.[1] The Mackinac Center for Public Policy has contacted Houghton-Portage to post its checkbook register but so far it does not appear to be online.
