[edit] Contributions to TIF District
Parsons has made the following recommendations and contributions to the Bowling Green TIF District:
April 26, 2007: He stated that the development, if approved, did not include any full faith and credit commitment by the City. Instead, he explained that the funding generated from the TIF would be used to support the development.[1]
June 12, 2007: He explained that a Chapter 58 Corporation would be created by the County to issue the bonds, but that the City and County would not have any obligation toward the payment of the bonds beyond the pledge of TIF revenues.[2]
May 24, 2008: During his status review of Bowling Green’s downtown redevelopment plan today, he revealed the substitution of a new firm, Investors Equity Holdings LLC., to replace Fairmount Properties as the major residential and commercial developer located adjacent to Western Kentucky University.
