[edit] Website evaluation

[edit] The good

  • Lists the current board of commissioners and their contact information.[1]
  • Lists meetings times, places, minutes and agendas.[2]
  • Lists the current county budget, and is broken down by department.[3] While it uses PDF format, it is still very easy to navigate, though past budgets could be posted for comparison purposes.
  • The website posts a list of department heads and how to contact them.[4]
  • Has some information on property taxes.[5]

[edit] The bad

  • No listing the county audits, credit card receipts, or posting on the checkbook register.
  • Does not have downloadable forms for the permit and zoning process, nor a way to check one's status online.[6]
