Kings County is one of 62 counties in New York. It is coterminous with Brooklyn which is the most populous county in New York State, and the second most densely populated county in the United States. Since consolidation with New York City in 1898, Brooklyn has been governed by the New York City Charter. The Borough President has minimal executive powers, and there is no legislative function within a borough. The following ratings are from New York City's website.
