Linard Johnson is a member of the Columbia County School Board, representing District 1. His term expires in 2010 and he was first elected to the board in 2002.

Johnson graduated from Richardson High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Florida.

He has served as a member of a school advisory council and president of Men for Social Change.

For the 2002-2003 school year, he was chosen "Teacher of the Year" representing his school. He is now a high school guidance counselor.[1]
