[edit] Purpose

Senate Bill 3 is designed to eliminate exceptions to the laws regarding lobbying expenditures. This includes free admission to cultural events and sporting tickets. Any expenditure greater than $10 is covered.

This changes the previous law which allowed expeditures to occur that did not exceed $100 per event and $500 per year per lobbyist.

[edit] Exceptions

When the elected official is an honoree, a speaker, or a panel member for an event.

Professional, Semi-Professional, or college sporting events, hunting trips, golfing trips, fishing trips or other outings that are covered as part of that candidate's fundraising or fundraising for an organization.
