[edit] Purpose

Senate Bill 8 limits the amount of money that registered lobbyists can spend on food and drink on a public servant to $50 per occurance. This limit will increase by the increase in consumer price index, and will be adjusted and rounded up to the nearest dollar.

If an event is held where multiple public servants are held, and food is provided, the total cost of the food will be divided by the total number of people at the event to determine the amount spent per public servant.

This does not apply to a metting of a national or regional organization, or a meeting of a statewide organization of government officals or employees. [1]
