The Mandan School Board is considering airing it's public meetings on public access television. Some board members have expressed concern with the possibility that members of the public participating in the meetings may make unflattering statements about the district or the board, which would then be broadcast. "It has not always been a positive environment. I do not want to broadcast public communication unmonitored" said board member Dan Leingang.

Board president Kirsten Baesler seems confused about the legal status of the school board, stating "We are a private entity holding meetings in public". The school district and its governing board are public entities according to state law. [1]
