Nevada has sixteen counties and one independent city.

Only two Nevada counties, Nye and Washoe, puts its budget on its website.
Seven counties include information on their websites about public government meetings.
Ten include information about the county's elected officials.
Ten include information about the county's administrative officials.
Four give information about permits and zoning in the county.
None of the counties put information on their websites about audits that the county government has had performed.
None of the counties provide information about its contracts with county vendors.
None of the county websites disclose whether or not they belong to any government sector lobbying associations.
The county websites uniformly do not provide information on how to request public records using the Nevada Open Records Act.
Three county websites provide some information about county taxes.

As of early February 2009, only one Nevada county did not have a website.
