Oakland, California
Oakland is a city in California. It is the county seat of Alameda County. Based on 2006 statistical data, Oakland is the 44th largest city in the United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the population was 401,489 in 2007. [1][edit] Mayor Dellums
Ron Dellums is the current mayor of Oakland. A public records request to the mayoral office for his calendar reveals that Mayor Dellums only schedules himself to work about 25 hours per week. [2]

The city employes 25 annuitants, including two department heads. Vitale Troyan currently serves as the city's acting director of Public Works, and Interim Fire Chief Gerald Simon who retired in 2008, but is working for the fire department again. Simon is currently collecting two paychecks for his work, one being his pension, the total coming to over $300,000.[3] It is more then Simon collected when he worked full-time, now he collects this money for working 20 hours a week.
