Ohio employee pleads not guilty for tampering with kids' grades

June 24, 2009 Former Mohawk school district education management information system coordinator, Emily K. Gilliland, entered a not guilty plea for the indictment of tampering with her children's grades on several occasions.[1]

Wyandot County prosecutors are charging Gilliland on 34 counts for allegedly tampering with her children's grades, all third-degree felonies, as her indictment categorized.
The indictment shows the alleged incidents occurred on or about March 26, 2008, June 2, 2008, June 3, 2008, Oct. 28, 2008, Nov. 10, 2008, and Feb. 13, 2009, the Advertiser-Tribune reported.[1]

Gilliland remains employed with the school district and no longer interacts with student grades, but upon her hire she was assigned to working with the student ProgressBook, a grade book system.
The pre-trial conference is set for July 23.
