[edit] Open meeting violation alleged

On March 20, 2009, former town board member Sue Cejka filed a complaint with La Crosse County authorities alleging that three Onalaska town board members and the town's administrator violated Wisconsin's open meeting laws in early March. Specifically, Cejka claimed that town Chairman Stan Hauser, Administrator Paul Kitzmann and board supervisors Warren Booth and Joe Schaller met in closed session at 6 p.m. March 17 without posting notice 24 hours in advance as required by state statute and without notifying media outlets.[1]
