Pat Deutschman is a school board member for Citrus County Schools, Florida, representing District 3. This is her third term and it expires in 2010.

[edit] Prior work

Deutschman was elected to the Citrus County School in 1998 and re-elected in 2002 and 2006, during which time she has served as chairman twice. She was acknowledged as a "Certified Board Member" in 2001 and as a member of the “ Master Board” awarded by the Florida School Boards Association.

Deutschman also served on numerous school advisory councils, parent support organizations, and educational advocacy groups. She was a Scout leader and a youth religious instruction teacher for over 18 years at Our Lady of Fatima church. She has also served on the Board of Directors for United Way of Citrus County, the Florida School Boards Association. She is also a graduate of Leadership Citrus.

She has a Bachelors degree in Clinical Chemistry from the University of South Florida and did post-graduate work in Biochemistry at the University of Miami.

While she was in Tampa and Miami, Deutschman worked at several large hospitals as a laboratory technologist and supervisor. She and her husband Fred relocated to Citrus County in 1983.

Deutschman is the office administrator at the law firm at which her husband is a partner, Deutschman & Zakaria. They have two children, Jonathan and Alex, both which are Citrus County schools graduates. [1]
