Pat Sabiston is a school board member for Bay District Schools. She represents District 1 and was elected to the board in 2006. She was the only board member who voted against the 2009-2010 school year budget, stating, "Conversations need to continue on ways to save. I cannot support this budget. No." [1]

Sabiston relocated her company, The Write Place, to Panama City in 1992. The Write Place is a marketing and public relations firm.

For more than ten years, she was Association Executive to the Board of the Publishers Association of the South.

Sabiston has served on several committees of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce and community boards, including the Board of the Greater Panama City Beaches Chamber of Commerce, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and United Way.

Sabiston is also current President of the Panama City Rotary Club that honored her as "Rotarian of the Year." It also named her a Paul Harris Fellow.

She received the "Small Business Person of the Year" award from the Beaches Chamber and helped to found the Advertising Federation-Panama City.

According to her biography, Sabiston teaches Sunday School at Heritage Bible Church. Sabiston and her husband, Tom, have four children and three grandchildren.[2]

Sabiston has written and edited many books, articles, essays and more.[3]
