[edit] Website evaluation

As of January 2009, Penobscot is one of three Maine counties that do not have a website. The other two are Androscoggin County, Maine and Franklin County, Maine. The state government provides a page on its website with some very basic information about each of the counties that do not have their own website, including the names (but no contact information) for ten county officials.
