"A bill tightening access to certain public records, filed by two Polk County legislators and unopposed by the First Amendment Foundation, is moving closer to being passed by the Legislature.
Known as the Minor Dependent Exemption, the bill would bar public access to information about children of teachers and other state employees who are covered under the state insurance program."
