[edit] School Board's Lawyer Faces Charges

"Prosecutors charged Wes Bridges, the Polk County School District's lawyer, Friday with violating the state's public records law.

The 46-year-old lawyer is accused of stymieing a request for records to public rights advocate Joel Chandler.

In an interview Friday evening, Bridges said he was trying to protect the privacy rights of employees, spouses and children when he declined to release information to Chandler."
