[edit] School district splits legal hairs on Open Records

"In a curious decision that defeats the purpose of the state’s new Open Records Law, the Office of Open Records has endorsed needless secrecy by a school district.

By agreeing with the Northampton School District’s refusal to provide specific information about a draft budget to The Morning Call of Allentown, open records appeals officer Lucinda Glinn allowed the district to get away with exactly the sort of evasion that made the new records law necessary in the first place."
