Steve Nelson is a member of the Columbia County School Board, representing District 3. His term expires in 2010 and he was first elected to the board in 2002.

[edit] Prior work

Nelson has lived in Columbia County all of his life. He currently lives there with his wife Tassie, and three children Lauren, Brant and Breah. Nelson and his wife both graduated from Columbia High School. He graduated from Lake City Community College and attended the University of Florida. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy at Florida A&M University.

He recently earned a Masters in Business Administration degree from St. Leo University. As a licensed physical therapist, he is employed by Lake City Medical Center as the Director of Rehabilitation Services and Marketing.

He a member of Kiwanis and the American Physical Therapy Association.[1]
