The government accounting project will look into re-formatting the state budget articles as well as detailing the accounting principles in each state.

2008/2009 crisis
- A large part of each of our state budget articles are outdated and included 2008/2009 specific budget information. This information needs to be slimmed down and moved to an article titled: [[STATE state budget (2008-2009)]]
Accounting principles
A section needs to be created detailing the current accounting principles in the state. This will need to address:
- Important deadlines
- Account principles including: general provisions, tax collections and tax allocation.
- Department in charge of accounting and its leadership
- Accountability checklist
- Remember to change the rating number on the top depending on how many question are answered with a "Yes"

Audits
- Information on what audits are
- Who is audited every year
- Who is in charge of audits
- When are department audited?
