The organization is a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, to which it pays dues totaling $73,974.[1]

TASSP define their objective as being centered on building an active network of communication between administrators and volunteers, as well as establishing themselves as a model for quality leadership in education. They also sponsor and work closely with the Texas Association of Student Councils and the Texas Association of Future Educators so as to try and develop future leaders and educators.[2]
