The United Counties Council of Illinois is a taxpayer-funded lobbying associations in Illinois. It is one of three Illinois chapters of the National Association of Counties. The other two are the Metro Counties of Illinois and the Illinois Association of County Board Members.

The United Counties Council of Illinois is a 501(c)(4) organization.[1]

According to the organization's 990 form [1]:

The council was formed for the purpose of gathering and disseminating information, as a legislative advocate, and as a forum for the identification and discussion of issues relating to, and for the benefit of, county governments in the state of Illinois.
