[edit] Note new page

I'm leaving this note on the user talk page of anyone I notice is working on the My Government Website project.

Check out Sunshine Review:Evaluating government websites and see what you think. Are these directions clear? Are they missing anything?

++++

Remember to do interlinks for the pages-I did it on the Arizona page. You're doing great (Bob's excited at how fast you are contributing).Kristinpedia

Thanks for the reminder, I knew I had been forgetting something.

Greg you are doing a great job! I can't believe how efficient you've been-it's awesome.Kristinpedia

Thanks! I greatly appreciate it!

--- Greg-how's the LA news articles coming? - Kristinpedia

They are coming alright. I wasn't sure at first where to begin so I have just jumped in and am trying to learn as I go. I will have more up soon.

Just a note: make sure you are breaking the articles up into sections (I went ahead and did it for the 311 article). Also-do you think we need a profile article on the New Orleans City Council? I'm thinking we might since its likely they'll be coming up in future articles.--Kristinpedia

I can certainly break articles into sections, no problem. A profile article is a good idea, I will begin work on that.

Greg-hey remember that we want to create articles for each transparency advocate. Feel free to create stubs for now though. Kristinpedia

Greg, make sure you bold the name of the city and to flesh out the transparency section just a bit more so that it can have a reference. You'll see how I changed it on Houma, Louisiana.Kristinpedia

Greg-just an fyi I think that for the accountability articles that we should just include month for the date ones. For get the specific day categories. Kristinpedia 16:01, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Trouble in Alabama

According to the history, you started the Alabama city page. Unfortunately you seem to have included not only incorporated cities and towns from Wikipedia (which has an incomplete list) but also included the sections for census place names and unincorporated communities (which would not normally have any government at all). The Secretary of State of Alabama maintains a list of cities which I suspect would be a better start. I'm willing to do work on this but the changes would be somewhat major surgery. I not only am going to have to rework this page but also delete the pages for the place names/unincorporated communities. Do you have a bot that might make this easier? TMLutas 20:07, 8 August 2009 (CDT)

Such bots do exist. I didn't know whether Sam Adam's alliance was running a parallel structured database on the back end to build out the stubs. It appears that you're not. I'm involved here because, for my own reasons, I'm starting to build that sort of a thing. TMLutas 07:24, 9 August 2009 (CDT)

[edit] Arkansas towns not listed

The municipalities listing on Arkansas seems to be cities only, not towns. I started out in Indiana and made a separate towns page (there are towns in that state over 20k in population). I'd like to see consistency throughout the listings. Would you agree with the addition of an Arkansas towns page? TMLutas 14:12, 11 August 2009 (CDT)
