Westwood Heights Schools is a school district in Genesee County, Michigan. According to a report from the Michigan Department of Education, it served 1,149 students for the 2006-07 school year and was the 366th largest public school district in Michigan.[1] The Mackinac Center for Public Policy has contacted Westwood Heights to post its checkbook register and the district is considering the idea.

According to a study of the 22 school district in Genesee County conducted by the Flint Journal, the Westwood Heights school district spent $37,414.12 on travel for school board members and superintendents during the 2 1/2 years beginning July 1, 2006. The survey was performed using spending records received via the Michigan Freedom of Information Act. ^[1]
