[edit] Lobbying

Main article: Illinois taxpayer-funded lobbying

Whiteside County does not have contracts with lobbyists. It has paid 46 taxpayer-funded lobbying associations a total of $57,505.11 spent on memberships to lobbying groups since 2005. [7] [8]

[edit] FOIA response

Sunshine Review sent Freedom of Information Act requests to all of the counties in Illinois. Notably, Whiteside is the only county to have sent data in a workable format (XLS) as I requested. All other counties sent PDFs or Outlook files. The county also a summary of expenditures as well as the actual invoices, another element of FOIA response unique to the county. [9]
