[edit] Writing the profile

  • First, use a search engine, such as Google, to gather as much information as you can about the School Board member. Also, you should visit the appropriate school district site. For professional information, you can check out sites such as Zoominfo, Hoovers and LinkedIn.
  • Next, fill in the article.
    1. The name of the School Board member and the dates of their term should be included in the introductory paragraph.
    2. Where does this person stand on the issues? This information should be listed under the Political views section.
    3. What actions has this person taken as a School Board member? What committees has he/she served on? This information should be listed under the Involvement section.
    4. Information about the Board member's education, profession, family, and any organizations that they are affiliated with should be listed in the Background information section.

[edit] Category hierarchy

All stub articles for Wisconsin School Board members should contain 2 categories:

  • [[Category:Starter class Wisconsin school board members]], and
  • [[Category:Wisconsin School districts]]

Finished profiles should contain these 2 categories:

  • [[Category:Wisconsin school board members]], and
  • [[Category:Wisconsin School districts]]

Notice that the only difference involves the removal of "Starter class" from the first category. This indicates that the article is complete.
