Worcester County is one of 14 counties in Massachusetts. Its county seat is the city of Worcester^[1].

The majority of Massachusetts counties, including Worcester, currently exist as geographic regions and have no county government and no website. County functions were assumed by state agencies and there is no county council or commissioner.^[2] Worcester County was abolished as a political entity on July 1, 1998.^[3]
