Alliance Corporation

Alliance Corporation is the master developer for the downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky redevelopment project.

After pressure from Brian Strow and others on the Bowling Green Commission, Alliance agreed to adjust its fee structure. It was to have received 1.6 percent of the value of any devleopment in the 106-acre area up to $150 million, and .5 percent over that, including projects the it wasn't responsible for. Now Alliance will receive one percent of the first $200 million of development value and 1.5 percent for anything over that. Also, the cost of Circus Square and the land for the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center will be counted toward the $200 million, but won't be included in calculating the final fee for Alliance. Now Alliance has a better incentive to increase the total amount of private investment in the Bowling Green TIF District.
