The Arizona Tax Research Association (ATRA) bills itself as "the ONLY statewide taxpayer organization representing a cross section of Arizona individuals and businesses." Originally organized in 1940, the ATRA represents taxpayers before policy makers with the belief that every government expense is directly tied to a tax. Their goal is efficient statewide government achieved by the creation of sound fiscal policies.
